Explosively fast: find out how Tunity became a Google Partner in 365 days

It's in. The badge we have been craving since our inception. The badge we are only too happy to show off on our website. We are, of course, talking about our Google Partner Badge. And are we happy about it! We are finally an official partner, and we've been waiting for that for a while. 365 days to be exact, because that's the minimum time it takes Google to review your account. Explosively fast? Definitely!

What is that now, Google Partner?

Interested?

This well-known certification from Google is awarded to companies that have sufficient Google Ads skills and expertise, as well as sufficient spending and results for their clients. So you can understand that we are very happy with this conquest.

"Congratulations! Tunity is now a badged Google Partner. You've demonstrated Google Ads expertise and earned your Partner status, badge and benefits."

It is the icing on the cake for our efforts, and gives us the recognition we have been looking for for some time. In fact, as a new player in the industry, we ran into a problem: Tunity is just too young. That doesn't mean we didn't serve Google Ads clients or didn't have the necessary knowledge in-house. Nope, because in order to become official friends, your company must have been in existence for at least 12 months and be able to be evaluated on Google Ads. All boxes checked, but one.

 

Now the time was finally right. For us an eternity, but for the landscape of digital agencies actually very fast. In fact, it is not that often that a company obtains such a badge so quickly. So we are very proud of that.

Requirements for becoming a partner

Interested?

So Google Partner is not something you become overnight. There are three categories of requirements you must meet: certification, expenses and business performance.

Certification

At least one user with access to your company's Google Ads manager account must have earned the Google Ads Fundamentals certification, combined with an additional ad assessment in Skillshop. That means you must obtain some sort of specialization in Search, Display, Mobile, Video or Shopping Advertising.

Expenditures

Knowledge is fine, but you need to use it in practice. Therefore, it is necessary that you effectively serve a few customers in your account who together account for a total spend of at least $10,000 in the past 90 days. By doing so, you demonstrate that your business is sufficiently active, and has enough room to grow businesses.

 

Again, our company quickly scored a big 10. We started with a nice portfolio of clients who were only too happy to put us in charge of their search engine advertising strategy. And yet today, the difference couldn't be greater. Our numbers skyrocketed by opting for thoughtful campaigns and a strong, internal learning culture.

 

The number of Tunity's Google Ads customers increased by a whopping 200 percent during the past year. With that, their monthly spending also increased, as we saw it rise by just under 300 percent in May 2019 compared to the previous year.

Company performance

And finally, it's the business report's turn. To score sufficiently, you have to meet the requirements of revenue growth, customer retention and an increase in the number of advertisers. And that's where the shoe pinched for us. On our first application last year, Google told us we didn't meet, only because they didn't have enough time to evaluate whether we were effectively achieving such targeted growth.

 

Sounds logical. That's why we made it a goal to get that badge as soon as possible. How? With pure customer focus, our strategic insights into each story, and a thoughtful growth strategy for our target audience.

 

By now it's no surprise: we achieved our mission, and are far from ready to stop. Premium Partner Badge, here we come!
